Magnificent Motivation

Do you feel like you just can't be bothered?

This can be a temporary condition when we are feeling tired, stressed, overwhelmed or just plain worn out and in need of a break.

However, if it is our usual experience we could probably do with discovering what excites us and brings us to life.

We usually know what we need to do to get what we want - we just lack the motivation to actually do it.

We want to lose weight but we cant be bothered going for a walk or joining up anywhere.

We would like a new job but we feel safe where we are now.

We are not happy with our relationship but we are in a safe and comfortable rut.

Here is a checklist to help you decide if you could benefit from some coaching for motivaton:

This checklist will help you decide if you are a failure! :-)
It is also an example of the way coaching offers new thoughts and perspectives.
· Do you feel like a failure?
· Does feeling like a failure mean that you are a failure?
· Can you learn without failing?
· Does failing at something you do, make you a failure as aperson?
· Can you think of anyone who has never failed at anything?
· Did you try and fail?
· If you have tried and failed - the outcome was not what you expected - does that mean;
· you have tried and failed at something, or
· does that mean you're a failure as a person?
· Do you agree with this quotation;

is defeated and yet returns home victorious?"

But there are so many destinations - which ticket will you buy and where will you go?
Where do you want to go?
If you are not sure then here is a little exercise.
Sit down somewhere comfortable and quiet with a blank sheet of paper. Still yourself by breathing deeply a few times.
When you are ready to begin, ask yourself the following questions and then write the first and immediate thought that comes into your mind.
· What do I want?
· What do I need to do to get it?
· What's stopping me?
· Why am I letting what's stopping me stop me?
· What is my dream for my life?
· Why am I telling myself I can't begin to move toward my dream?
· What would I feel like if I could achieve my dream and live the life I want?
· What do I need to do to make my dream a reality?
· What small step can I make today to move me a little closer to making my dream happen?
· What small action can I take now that will move me a little closer to my dream?
